SR type 13 signal box model

SR Type 13 Signal Box

Introduced in 1939 the Type 13 remains in use at many locations throughout Southern England. This model is based on Deal in Kent. Deal contained 42 manual levers. It is an unusual variant as most type 13 boxes had rectangular ground floor extensions either side of the oval centre.

Modern prototype photographs show a two tone weathered brick, reproduced in the model for extra character.

Footprint: 127.5 mm x 59.5 mm (150.5 x 80.5 incl. overhangs)

Build skill level: ADVANCED (See Welcome Page for definition).
Rated ADVANCED because of intricate window frame cutting.
